Description
3M 7846 Laser Markable Label Material Roll
This type of label material has four layers, of which: the first is black top layer, the second is white layer, the third layer is a special adhesive, and the fourth layer is a liner.
The precisely controlled laser beam scans on the above-mentioned special four-layer label material. According to the information required by the user, by precisely controlling the output of laser energy and scanning speed, the first color layer (black) on the surface is removed to expose the second layer. (white), so as to complete the laser marking work of the user’s pattern or text information.
Features:
Modified acrylic face for durability and excellent heat resistance, chemical resistance, excellent convertibility (kiss cutting)
Marking with all Nd-YAG laser marking equipment on the market.
The matte finish provides good printability for 100% barcode readability.
Dual-layer design and engraved lettering ensure long-term legibility,
Abrasion resistance and excellent image contrast.
Fragile faceplate materials provide destructibility to meet security marking requirements.
Acrylic adhesive provides good adhesion to LSE/HSE plastics with high initial stickiness.
Application Fields:
High contrast and excellent marking accuracy
High temperature, abrasion and chemical resistance
Evidence of unauthorized access: manipulation leaves visible traces
Cannot be removed without damaging the label
Flexible label format and design: laser marking and cutting
Efficiency: replaces a large number of ready-made labels
Just-in-time production reduces storage requirements
This 3M 7846 Laser Label Material is designed for laser applications where a top layer of ablative label material is available with a brittle face that provides degradability on certain substrates. Our label materials provide nameplates with exceptional resistance to automotive chemicals and abrasion, as well as excellent environmental and temperature resistance up to 200°C. It is well suited for bonding low surface energy plastics and textured powder coated surfaces, as well as a variety of other substrates.
