Blood bag labels have been designed for blood donation centres in compliance with the ISBT standard in accordance with the Directive 2002/98/WE. For labelling blood and blood plasma bags, the labels are resistant to water, oils, chemical substances, high and low temperature, and they can be applied to frozen surfaces, e.g., frozen blood plasma bags. They guarantee legibility of printed bar codes even after many years of storage.
