Description

Xylene-Resistant Slide Labels

Xylene-resistant slide labels are specially designed to identify slides in fully automated, multi-component, immunohistochemistry (IHC) and specialty stains and processors.

These labels are resistant to routinely used slide/tissue processing and immunohistochemical staining harsh chemicals such as xylene, ethanol, formalin, acetic acid, as well as eosin, hematoxylin and special ( counter) dyes. These labels are specially designed with a membrane valve and can also withstand prolonged exposure and immersion in safer cleaning and dewaxing xylene alternatives such as EZ Prep, Clearify, Histo-Clear, Formula 83, Pro-Par and more. A high temperature, acid/base buffer used during antigen searches in immunohistochemical protocols.

Ability to integrate with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and Management Systems (LIMS) as well as label printers designed to process slides. They are ideal for safe, accurate and permanent identification of microscope slides using patient/specimen information and clear 1D and 2D barcodes. Once laminated, the printout is smudge-proof and also resistant to long-term immersion in harsh chemicals, solvents, and stains.

Advantage:

Reliable sample identification throughout slide handling and staining protocols
Excellent stain resistance and careful distribution of reagents during automated processing
Easily and quickly integrate into existing label printing systems to maximize productivity and efficiency.
