SMD Extender Tape 8mm/12mm/16mm/24mm/32mm

When feeding an SMD reel without a leader into a placement machine, the cover tape must be removed to activate the reel feed mechanism, often resulting in component loss. This can occur when the SMD reel is short, the components are expensive, or production volumes are low.

Ruilabels offers SMD extender tape made of non-adhesive, milky white matte PET film to provide the necessary extension.

These SMD extender tapes can be used to add leader tape to surface mount (SMT) component reels that are missing or too short. This allows components to be fed into the SMT assembly equipment without wasting. These extension tapes typically consist of a non-adhesive leader applied to an adhesive tape, which is then bonded to the existing cover tape.
