Uncontrolled temperature changes as well as cold storage settings often expose packages to significant fluctuations in hot and cold conditions. Vehicles and shipping documents can generate unreliable temperatures when labeling. Depending on the adhesive, these less than ideal conditions can cause labels to be damaged or not work properly. They become hard and brittle, and the labels lose their stickiness. It may not be immediately obvious, but at some point the label will most likely come off.
